Brrr.

It's been pretty cold here in NC. It's pretty out of the norm for it to be this cold in December. If it's going to be freezing outside though, some snow would be much appreciated! In the past four years I have lived in Eastern North Carolina it has snowed 3 times. Our town pretty much shuts down with the sight of flurries, which kind of makes me laugh. I remember walking to school in 6+ inches of snow every year. I have high hopes that Jacob will be able to witness some snow this winter. Last winter we were in MD and got about 2 feet, but Jacob was only 6 weeks old so he couldn't enjoy it.

Last night we went to the hubbs company christmas party. It was pretty nice. They had a Santa for the kids, and they all got little gift bags. They gave away a bunch of prizes, and while the food wasn't the best, it wasn't the worst either. My picky little eatter wanted nothing to do with it. I tried to trick him and told him the turkey was chicken. Is that wrong? Regardless, it didn't work out. I think I am one of the few wives who actually enjoy going to the "mandatory fun days". I love to meet all the people he works with and it's a great way to meet some fellow wives. I wished they had more of them.

Tomorrow is the evening LLL meeting, and they are doing a cookie exchange. I have no idea what kind of cookies to make.  I was thinking magic in the middle cookies, but I know peanut butter is pretty high on the allergy list. And I am not sure too many kids would be allowed to have chocolate. I'll have to do some googling and figure out a good cookie recipe. Anyone have any ideas?

I really need to catch up on my 30 day challenge. I am sucking horribly at it.

  1. Hahah, I have a post titled EXACTLY the same thing!

Thanks for reminding me about the LLL Cookie Exchange! I have to bake my cookies tonight. I think I'm doing almond flour or coconut flour "sugar" cookies, but I'm not sure yet. :)
