Eatting a teething biscuit while mommy cleans the kitchen. |
I can't believe I am the mommy of an 11 month old. I am so amazed and just completely in love with this little [okay not so little anymore!] man of mine. He's getting bigger everyday and doing more and more. I can hardly keep up. I'm so proud of him, and I hope that everyday he knows that. I've had my rough days, but he is truely the best thing to have ever happened to me. Last night he decided dada was going to be his next word. He's been saying mama for a long time now. The hubs and I were so excited. I even got a little teary eyed.
His first birthday is fastly approaching and we have a birthday party planned for him in Maryland. That's where we are originally from. I am hoping that everything works out. I bought the invitations. It's just a matter of getting them out lol. The party isn't for another 5 weeks so I have some time. As far as his actual birthday I think the hubs and I are going to take him to the zoo or aquarium. He has his 1 year appointment that day as well. I can't wait to see how much he has grown! Along with turning 1, we can finally face him forward in his carseat! I know a lot of people do it well before 1, but I just don't think it's worth the risk. I know a lot of people say to keep it rear-facing for awhile too. But he just seems so uncomfortable and I think he would be happier being able to look forward. We 've done our research and are pretty settled on getting him this big boy carseat;

Safety 1st Complete Air Convertible Car Seat in Montross |
It's been raining since Sunday night. I love the rain, and even more so when I don't have to do anything. Yesterday little man and I sat on the porch for about an hour just listening and watching the rain. He loves the outdoors and I feel bad that we don't spend more time outside. With the weather getting cooler, hopefully we can. This summer was just SO hot. Much hotter then any other summer since I moved to North Carolina 4 years ago.
