Breastfeeding Blog Hop - Sweet Support

This weeks topic is sweet support.


I would have to say I found the most support through a few of my friends. I never even thought breastfeeding was an option for me, so I didn't know much about it. I wasn't prepared in any way. So I leaned on my friends both IRL and online. I also started attending La Leche League meetings which not only taught me a lot, but gave me confidence to nurse in public and to stand up to anyone who might think I was doing something "wrong".

Fill in the blank friday

1. Black Friday is insane. I've only been once though and would love to go again just to experience it.

2. Christmas shopping this year will include mostly just toys for Jacob and clothes for our nieces and nephew.

3. Holiday shopping makes me stressed out! I am always worried I am not buying someone the right thing or size or something.

4. This year my Christmas list will include new dishes and pots and pans. Is that sad?

5. Bargain hunter, or full price shopper? I think everyone likes a good bargin, but I admit I am not good at shopping around or couponing like crazy. I'd love to learn though!

6. The best and worst things about shopping is when I am 100% sure the person will love it. The worst thing is seeing your money go bye bye lol.

7. Online shopper or in-person shopper? I'd rather shop in a store because I like to be able to hold what I am buying and take it home. I HATE buying something and then waiting a week to get it.

Thankful Thanksgiving Thursday.

Today really is the day to sit back and just look at what you DO have. I know I am guilty of complaining about what I don't have a lot of the time. Today I am thankful for

1. My son, Jacob. He has taught me patience, how to love unconditionally, and that the simple things matter most. A smile from him truely can brighten up my whole day. He is truely the best thing to have ever happened to me and I just feel so lucky to be his mom. I hope that he always knows I am proud of him and I love him. He has me wrapped around his little finger but I am okay with that ;]

2. My husband. He loves me for who I am. I don't have to get dressed up for him to think I am beautiful. He works hard so I can stay home with Jacob and doesn't get mad if the laundry didn't get done that day. Lol.

3. Breastfeeding. I truely am thankful for it. I am not anti-formula at all. Jacob has had formula. But I am very proud and thankful that I am able to give Jacob a good start in life. I know there are many mothers out there who wanted so badly to BF and weren't able to.

4. My family&friends course. I have the best family and friends. And even though we live so far away from each other they always make a point to see how we are. I love that when we go back to MD we can just pick up where we left off.
