I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. Jacob didn't really care about opening presents, which really kind of shocked me. He found his little ball popper thing and took off with it. It's the only thing he wanted to play with the whole day. Although the V-tech Potsy was a big hit too. So Jake and I ended up opening up all his presents, and as we opened things gave them to him. We decided that we were going to exchange presents, and then last minute I just had to get him something. So I got him a Georgia Bulldogs hoody and a pair of sweat pants. I also paid off a video game that comes out in January. I got a Snuggie [which I have been wanting for awhile, and holy crap it's awesome]. Some bakeware [which I have been asking for], and a lap desk. I think it's kind of funny that we're at the point in our marriage where getting sweatpants and bakeware is okay. The rest of the day we just hung out around the house playing with Jacob. It was relaxing. Dinner was good, but of course my picky eatter ate none of it. Instead he had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It's one of the few things I can get him to eat.
So as the title says, it's snowing! I'm really excited to take Jacob out in it. I am sad Jake will miss it though since he has work today. But I definitely don't want to risk Jacob not being able to play in any snow. I wonder what he'll think of it. I'll take pictures for sure!
Was Santa good to everyone?

Our Day.
While the ornaments were baking I decided to make my mom a Christmas card from Jacob. I went to a couple different store and couldn't find anything that I liked. So I figured why not let Jacob color on some paper instead! I forgot to take a picture but the front just said Merry Christmas Grandmom. Knowing my mom, she'll enjoy it a lot more then some card that a billion other grandmoms got this Christmas.
Of course while I am cleaning up from the ornament making, Jacob decides I need more messes to clean up! haha. He can really trash a kitchen! Uga, our bulldog, is always by his side.

Brrr.
It's been pretty cold here in NC. It's pretty out of the norm for it to be this cold in December. If it's going to be freezing outside though, some snow would be much appreciated! In the past four years I have lived in Eastern North Carolina it has snowed 3 times. Our town pretty much shuts down with the sight of flurries, which kind of makes me laugh. I remember walking to school in 6+ inches of snow every year. I have high hopes that Jacob will be able to witness some snow this winter. Last winter we were in MD and got about 2 feet, but Jacob was only 6 weeks old so he couldn't enjoy it.
Last night we went to the hubbs company christmas party. It was pretty nice. They had a Santa for the kids, and they all got little gift bags. They gave away a bunch of prizes, and while the food wasn't the best, it wasn't the worst either. My picky little eatter wanted nothing to do with it. I tried to trick him and told him the turkey was chicken. Is that wrong? Regardless, it didn't work out. I think I am one of the few wives who actually enjoy going to the "mandatory fun days". I love to meet all the people he works with and it's a great way to meet some fellow wives. I wished they had more of them.
Tomorrow is the evening LLL meeting, and they are doing a cookie exchange. I have no idea what kind of cookies to make. I was thinking magic in the middle cookies, but I know peanut butter is pretty high on the allergy list. And I am not sure too many kids would be allowed to have chocolate. I'll have to do some googling and figure out a good cookie recipe. Anyone have any ideas?
I really need to catch up on my 30 day challenge. I am sucking horribly at it.

Whoops.
I've been neglecting my blog lately. It's mostly due to me not having a laptop. The computer room is most definitely not baby proof, and so I can't just let Jacob roam around. I probably should get on that soon huh? I need to catch up on my 30 Day Challenge. Also, look out for a review/giveaway from me!
Christmas is just around the cornor and I have really been slacking on the Christmas shopping! Jacob's presents are bought and wrapped. But everyone else? We haven't even started! I think I know what I am getting everyone, it's just a matter of going and doing it. Hopefully I can get them bought, wrapped, and shipped in time for Christmas. Although I am starting to doubt it.
The hubbs starts a new work schedule soon. We'll be seeing a lot less of each other, but we'll make it work. He's going to day on, day off. So 24 hours on, 24 off. I plan to start going to more playdates and things like that to fill up my time. I'll actually be able to make it to the morning LLL meetings too. Lately I have been going to the night ones because that is the only time I can have the car. And morning meetings bring out more people too which is nice.
I'm lost on what to put in the hubbs stocking. What are you guys doing for stocking stuffers?

It's been a few days!
Yesterday we decided that we really needed to get some christmas shopping done. So we went out and got Jacob a bunch of toys really. Not that he even needs any, but I can't help it! We're going back out tomorrow to see if we can find anything else to get him. I don't want to go too crazy but it's hard!
Remember the other day when I said I hurt my knee? Well it was feeling better then yesterday it started hurting a lot more, and today even worse. I swore up and down it was sprained. So I called the Naval Hospital and got an appointment for today [which totally shocked me]. The doctor said it's definitely sprained. He moved my leg up and down and something is popping in and out. It hurts, and she could feel it from the outside. So, she gave me some Motrin for the pain and said on Tuesday I have to call to schedule Phsyical Therapy. If that doesn't work after a few weeks she said surgery might be an option. Ugh! Stupid dog. He's always under my feet! Here's to hoping the physical therapy works.

Cloth Diapers.
So as I have said before, I really wanted to get into cloth. The reality is, I am not one of those people who are anti-disposables. I am just tired of buying the things! I was sitting here thinking, if we plan to have another baby anytime in the next few years [which we do. Maybe 2012-2013ish?] why not invest in it now. Get a good stash going. Take good care of it. And use it for the next baby. That right that would save us tons. Especially in those early days when you're nursing baby poops every 2 seconds! So the other day I ordered a Tots Bots Easy Fit diaper. To be honest when I got it I was a little puzzled. But I figured it out [as you can tell I am VERY new to CD. I need someone to school me!]. So I prepped it like it said with some Rockin Green samples I had and I used it today. I really liked it. He didn't have it on long because we were going grocery shopping and so I changed him. But he was pretty cute in it I feel. I think I definitely want some more of the Tots Bots. I've also entered to win a whole bunch of other diapers. I am just hoping I at least get one!
I'm getting more and more into the Christmas spirit. I think I have most of our family figured out. I'm not sure what to get my MIL though. My mom is covered, our nieces and nephew, and my SIL. As far as the hubbs I am pretty sure I know what I am getting him. I can't say because he might read this and I don't want to spoil it! I also have a few ideas for stocking stuffers too. I'm not sure what he's getting me. He mentioned an IPad a few days ago but I told him absolutely not! I mean those things are cool and I would love to have one but I feel like we could spend that money in so many other places. We shall see! What are the top things on your Christmas list?
I also forgot to mention we took Jacob to see Santa about two weeks ago. It didn't go over so well! Here is last years picture, and this years!
He wouldn't let me go!
